It's #aotearoaschoollibraryweek! Did you know it’s been estimated that less than a third of Aotearoa NZ schools have a library space with an adequate collection and that is staffed by a specialist school librarian? OneTree House is proud to support SLANZA Te Whare Puna Mātauranga a Kura in celebrating our school libraries across the motu showcasing the difference a school library can make to every school community.

Take a look through the Aotearoa NZ School Library Week Activity Guide 2022 (pdf) and complete a School Library Week-inspired activity. Share it via social media using the hashtag #AotearoaSchoolLibraryWeek to be in a draw to win books for your library.

There is a cool activity in the guide which helps learners understand the difference between WEATHER and CLIMATE, and is inspired by Des Hunt's non-fiction book Inside Bubble Earth: Climate Change. So jump on board this week and let's celebrate Aotearoa New Zealand school libraries together!
