About the Book
Reina Kahukiwa tells the fictional story of Kahurangi, a kuia from Ngāti Tū Māia and the whare of generations ago, that was built in her honour. The whare is left neglected until hundreds of years later, when it is reclaimed by a community in need, and becomes a source of strength and identity to the people.
